Favorite Sites

Ah, Ultima Online related pages. A year ago, there were five or six, now they are innumerable. I keep finding cool new UO sites every time I look. Rather than keeping up with them all, I'm going to start listing only my favorite UO sites: there are other pages that keep a more updated compendium than I can. Note these these are my favorite sites, not necessarily the best of the sites out there. They are likely my favorites because I know the sites' owners well, or may have had some hand in the building of the site, or some other personal reason. Many top UO sites will not be listed.

Ultima Online FAQ Origin's official Frequently Asked Questions page for Ultima Online, where tidbits about the game have been doled out irregularly to feed our appetites for information on Ultima Online during the Great Wait. Part of Origin's Ultima Online pages

Ultima Moongates The Moongates domain is one of the best designed and most ambitious UO sites, period. Starting from a personal UO web page, Auric now provides many resources from screenshots and sounds, to the Guild Index, The Traveller's Companion to Britannia and the Test of Virtue, to hosting "The Britannian" newsletter and LaWiz's The Ultima Online Chat Zone.

The Ultima Online Chat Zone When Origin took down the CZ that had been set up for the UO pre-alpha tests, LaWizard stepped in and put up another CZ for UO. Most of the players' rumors, ideas, and personality conflicts are worked out here.

Slice of the Eye This is the second work of fiction by XCrown, continuing the story laid out in The Part of Whole. This series has as its main characters UO players, including yours truely.

SwiftEagle's Journal This in character work details some of SwiftEagle's experiences during the UO pre-alpha test. The journal is part of Beregard's Unofficial Ultima Online Tour.

The Britannian The first (ir)regular UO newsletter, The Britannian is maintained and authored by solely by players. A fair number of players write for The Britannian- I have a column myself, and coined the newsletter's name.

Barrel Full of Monks Barrel Full of Monks is a weekly comic strip by Enoch with a fictional take on the Verdici, a UO player guild.
